4. Basics of Biblical Hebrew Course Lectures - Miles Van Pelt
Note: This grammar by Van Pelt & Pratico is hands down the best option today, and is also the best for self-study. The many resources which are built around it just exemplifies its superiority in the world of Biblical Hebrew. This is why I have not listed any other Hebrew Grammars here.
Concerning the DVD course lectures: These lectures are from Miles Van Pelt's seminary course which goes through the entire book. Hebrew is a much different language from Greek, and as such, for the reasonable price, these lectures are well worth having. They will be a great help, aid, and encouragement for those studying on their own.

VII. Lexicons and Reference Tools:
1. A Concise Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament – William L. Holladay
Note: I have listed this lexicon here in favor of the Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB) lexicon for several reasons. First, it has more updated scholarship. Second, BDB uses more archaic English to define Hebrew words. Third, the categorical system BDB uses is very difficult to follow. It arranges the words not by alphabetical order as does Holladay, but rather by roots. There is a 2 volume set of Holladay's abridgement linked above, however it is at best $260 and is not necessary in most cases.
